At CMC Steel Arkansas / CMC Southern Post, we offer our employees a comprehensive benefits package that helps plan for the future as well as take care of today’s needs.

  • Eligible to purchase shares in December of each year after completing 1 year of continuous active full-time service.
  • Participating employees pay 75% of the market price for shares and the company pays 25%.
  • Employees pay their share through convenient payroll deduction during the ensuing calendar year.

  • As profits allow, each year the Board of Directors declares a profit sharing contribution equal to a stated percentage of employee’s fiscal year earnings.

  • A 401(k) Retirement Plan is available through a payroll deduction plan. Participating employees may elect to contribute 1% to 15% of their gross pay. Each year the Company’s match is reviewed by the Board of Directors.

Eligible on or after employment anniversary date and 1,600 hours worked in the preceding anniversary year.

Vacation Schedule:

  • 2 Week After 1 Year of Employment
  • 3 weeks after 10 years of employment
  • 4 weeks after 20 years of employment

  • The Company will pay 1/2 the tuition of an educational course approved in advance by Management provided the employee completed the course. Where training is of particular value to the employee's competence and performance on the job, the Company may pay full cost of tuition and expenses.

  • In recognition of a person’s need for regular, systematic savings, CMC Steel Arkansas / CMC Southern Post has made available to its employees a Federally Chartered Credit Union and encourages its people to participate in this opportunity to save. For convenience, the Company provides for payroll deductions for both savings accounts and loan repayments. Low interest loans are also available to Credit Union members who have a good credit rating.

  • CMC Steel Arkansas / CMC Southern Post has developed an EAP for employees and their families who may need help with personal and/or family problems. The EAP is a CONFIDENTIAL assessment, counseling and referral service for employees. All information is kept strictly confidential between the individual and their counselor and is not reported to the company’s management. All counseling offered within the EAP is provided at no cost to the employee.

  • CMC Steel Arkansas / CMC Southern Post offers a self-insured health care plan to help pay for short term medical and hospital care which employee's and their covered dependents may need, as well as to help shelter employee's from the financial burden of a catastrophic injury or illness.

  • Prescriptions are available to employees at the retail level (your local pharmacy) for a small copay. However, employees can save time and additional money by using the mail order prescription program offered by the company. Under this program, CMC Steel Arkansas / CMC Southern Post employees and their covered dependents can receive up to a 90 day supply of their prescription for a small copayment with the added benefit of having the prescription delivered directly to your home.

  • CMC Steel Arkansas / CMC Southern Post provides coverage for preventive and diagnostic services, as well as major services and orthodontics. The comapny offers a preferred dentist program that saves the employee money, but like the health plan, our employees have the freedom of choice in dental providers
